Introduction to Anatomy
This general education course introduces students to concepts of wellness and fitness with a focus on the global perspective, including social and environmental justice. Blending physical movement with academics, we study basic human anatomy, the principles of exercise and wellness, and the benefits/limitations of wellness policies and practices from around the world. Projects: 1) Students design and implement a personal wellness plan; and, 2) Students research a wellness topic of their choosing, comparing the US approach to that topic to the approach of one other country.
